Announcing MERS Premier Advantage:
An exciting alternative to Medicare exclusively for MERS members
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MERS is proud to announce an exciting new health care option for its Medicare-eligible members and municipal employers. MERS has partnered with Humana to offer MERS Premier Advantage, a new source for retiree health care coverage — with cheaper out-of-pocket costs than Medicare!
MERS Premier Advantage is an affordable Medicare Advantage program, designed exclusively for Medicare-eligible MERS members and their spouses.
Advantages for Medicare-eligible members
Together with our partner, Humana, we work with Medicare to provide all the Medicare Part A and Part B benefits — and much more. MERS Premier Advantage
covers everything Medicare Parts A and B offer, plus many other medical
services, all at a lower out-of-pocket cost than Medicare. MERS Premier Advantage also offers optional dental and vision plans, as well.
This exciting new health care plan is only available to eligible MERS
members and their spouses, with lower premiums than individuals can buy
on their own.
Advantages for municipalities
There are many benefits for MERS employers, too. By choosing MERS
Premier Advantage, your Medicare-eligible employees and retirees can
receive superior health care coverage, while saving your municipality
the cost of providing full coverage. And with a variety of coverage
plans available to our members — from Medicare Part D to dental and
vision — you can offer your employees and retirees excellent coverage
more affordably than ever.
